We are happy to offer this new edition of our Canadian Rockies Photo Tour, one of our most successful destinations, where we will photograph the incredible landscapes in the National Parks of the Canadian Rocky Mountains; Banff, Jasper, Yoho y Kootenay.
A Photography Tour like this is an excellent opportunity to go outdoors, be in contact with Nature in one od the most impressive areas on Earth, on a perfect destination for any landscape and wildlife photography lover.
Among the many locations we will be photographing, there are spectacular lakes, as Moraine, Peyto, Louise or Maligne, wonderful canyons as Johnston or Maligne, precious waterfalls as Sunwapta and Takakkaw, glaciers, rivers, creeks… All of these with the stunning background of the amazing Rocky Mountains, with peaks of up to 4,000 meters high around us. No doubt, this will be the ideal scenery to get extraordinary photographs, in an area that will allow us to fully enjoy of the landscapes, having the perfect chance to express our creativity in fabulous images.
To get the best possible pictures, we will wake up early every morning, so we can get to our planned location before sunrise, and then we’ll have more chances to capture the magical light in case we have it. At the same time, we will be also out to get the sunset and the last lights of the day, always searching for the best possible lights and the most magical moments. Although this will be tiring, it will allow us to get more great and unique images.
We will have also free time some of the days during the trip, so we all can rest enough to continue enjoying and making the best from the trip. Often, this free time periods will take place before or after lunchtime.
The moment chosen for the trip will has several benefits for landscape photography. Traveling during these dates, we may still be able to capture the last autumn colors but, at the same time, we will probably be lucky enough to presence the first snowfalls of the year, something that will allow us to enjoy even more, since we would have the chance to photograph this magical sceneries under the snow. Do you imagine how beautiful will Moraine or Peyto Lakes will be with a great snow around them?
Furthermore, we will be ready to do some night photography sessions, because in October it’s very possible we could already see the aurora borealis or Northern Lights, so we will be checking the forecasts, trying to get the opportunity to photograph this incredible Nature phenomenon in this Photo Tour. Apart from this, the area of Canada where we will be staying is known for its low light pollution levels, and that will be really helpful to capture the Northern Lights.
By other hand, we will also probably spot some of the wildlife of the area, specially elks, deer, bighorn sheep, moose, or even black and grizzly bears or wolves. We may be able to enjoy part of the elk rut season, which would be a real spectacle to enjoy and photograph.
To sum up, if you love landscape and Nature photography, this will be an amazing Photo Tour for you, which will bring you countless photo opportunities and will allow you to make the best of this experience. It’s a trip suitable for almost all physical conditions; there is no need to have a special condition to get to most of the places we will be photographing.
At the same time, it’s not a Photo Tour only for professionals or advanced photographers, you will enjoy a lot and capture great images regardless your photography level, even if you are a beginner. The only important thing is to love photography and landscapes, the rest will come out easily, being in front of some of the most scenic places on Earth.
